This site is about archipelagoes.

It has many enthusiastic co-authors, and they all love sailing and islands. They form a group and all members contribute. The site is therefore a bit wild, but we will try to find common standards as time goes by. Many archipelagoes are still unchartered, but we will get to them during personal visits. Contributions are in as many languages as the "contributors" have nationalities, and translations to common languages are under way, we have engaged poor students at the University of Uppsala for that task!

We have made no efforts to publicize our site, as it is for our own benefit, primarily. Yet, we have an increasing number of visitors from over twenty countries. Where will it all end??

Marianne, Magnus, Sten, Ingegerd, Linus, Anna, Harald, Anders, Myrtha, Niklas, Jesper, Helene, Caroline, Lukas, Maja, Gunilla, Kjell, Jonas, Pelle, Kristina, Van, Jens, Pravitt, Juan, Tore, Andrej, Trine and many others have been engaged in the project since February 1999.

It is great fun with a joint project like this, engaging friends around the world, we all agree. Since you have found us, it is a good idea to follow our progress over the world!

We have started with our home base, Sweden and Scandinavia, and are now expanding the site to the Baltic states and to the North Sea and the Mediterranean, adding archipelagoes as we "travel" along!

The more exotic archipelagoes in the Carribbean and Asia will have to wait, unfortunately. This project takes time and we are using only our spare time.
