Svartlöga is on the scheduled route, via Blidö towards the northern end of the archipelago, and you can combine it with a visit to nearby Rödlöga. Svartlöga has a small general store, open in summer, and there is excellent bathing near the jetty.

History: This island was one of the few that did not suffer from the Russian looting in 1719. Russian ships ran aground on the many reefs around the island. The island people, experienced from hunting seals could then easily pick off the crews with their rifles..
