Sollenkroka

59'22,2 N - 18'41 O

Today, Sollenkroka is known as the place where the road ends and boating starts. Parking is near the dock.

In the village there once lived a Jöns Olofsson, who in 1616 discovered the approach through Gällnö port to Stockholm. Towards the end of the 19th century people in the area could enjoy royal company. Every summer King Oscar II used to bring his paddle steamer "Sköldmön" to Sollenkroka.
