Själbottna och Östra Lagnö nature reserve

Själbottna is a nature reserve with protected coves, attractive flat rocks for swimming and fine trails in the forests.

The bed-rock was formed 1500 - 800 million years ago and is considered to be among the oldest in Sweden. The inland ice has left visible traces, polished bed-rock, and boulders that were carried by the retiring inland ice and thus planed the solid bed-rock. 

The older agricultural landscape is now gradually reclaimed by hay harvesting and grazing. 

Själbottna has many excellent places for overnight anchoring.
