Marinas in Stockholm south

"Södertörn, and the archipelago beyond, is stretching SW - NE. In addition there are special forms that are characteristic for the southern part of the archipelago. It is about size, shape and clustering. Islands are larger, lower, elongated and separated by large open waters. Close to the mainland you find large islands, today often with land connections; Yxlö, Muskö and Gålö. Beyond these islands are the wide and open waters of Mysingen, completely open to the Baltic in the south end through Danziger Gatt."
Bertil Hedenstierna from "Skärgårdsöar och fiskekobbar"

260 moorings, depth about 2 m

The Northern part of Utö has been a nature reserve since 1974. Here you find a variety of ways to spend your free time, and the area is very suitable for families with children. Barnens Bad is a pleasant sandy beach for kids, long and shallow. Also there are the rocky shores of Rävstavik or Södra Sandvik on the seaside.

A unique attraction are Sweden’s oldest water filled mines from the twelfth century. The majority from the buildings from the 18th century have been preserved here: Lurgatan, old miner’s quarters (nowadays summer residences) and Utö Kvarn, a well known landmark.

Also you will find here the largest harbour for visitors on the east coast which accommodates 260 recreational crafts. Bicycles and rowboats are available for rent. A full range of services makes for a pleasant vacation experience, almost anything is possible in Utö. Riding trips on Iceland ponies are available in Ålö as well as in Utö for one day or even longer.

260 berths for visitors in the north and south part of the harbour.
In the northern part of the harbour visitors may moor anywhere except at the commercial dock or at private jetties close to the bridge.
In the southern part of the harbour there are visitor's berths at the jetty, at the shore of Stora Persholmen and at the southernmost of the two pontoons on the opposite side of the channel.
