Idö nature reserve

Idö is an island just S of Arholma, facing Havssvalget. 

Idö is a nature reserve operated by Skärgårdsstiftelsen. The landscape contains idyllic meadows as well as wild rocks, leafy swamps and dense forests. There are well protected anchorages in a cove on the SW side. Around Idöfladen close to the village there are fields and groves with a rich birdlife. And the biggest growth of wild and protected orchids. N Idö is Idskär with a rich growth of yew trees.
