Boskapsö

Boskapsö was once a grazing island for people at Östanviks gård on Nämdö. Not until 1863 a homesteader from Nämdö moved to Boskapsö. That was the times when the population raeched a peak in the archipelago. When times got worse many homesteads were abandoned or were taken over by summer people from the city, this happened to Boskapsö.

When the Archipelago Foundation took over, maintenance was poor. Today Boskapsö is inhabited year round by a supervisor and forests and meadows are maintained.
