Ponte-do-Porto

Ponte-do-Porto is located in the end of Camarinas' creek, where the Grande river placidly mixes its water with the Soneira sea.

Long time ago, ships entered the creek up to Ponte-do-Porto's harbour, where nowadays there are only some small boats.  

Creek and river gently fuse their waters in a nice and calm site chosen by many fishermen to practice their favourite sport: there is a footpath of several kilometres along the river Grande with old water mills converted in charming lunchrooms.  

Ponte-do-Porto's strategic location is ideal for excursions to the main tourist centers of Camelle, Camarinas, Vimianzo, Traba, Laxe, Muxia... It is recommended as well to go shopping in Ponte-do-Porto's famous fair, organized every month's second and last Sunday.
