Corme |

Corme is the village of Cape Roncudo's wild nature and main barnacle center in the world. The natural attractiveness of Corme's rocky coast hides the unknown beaches of Ninons, Morro and Barda. Near the last one, there is a Castro (old Celtic settlement) inhabited by Mouros, fantastic Celtic mythology characters called Mauras in Ireland and Korrigans in Britanny.
Cape Roncudo has received that name because of violent waves' hoarse sound. Lots of shipwrecks and drownings have happened here -most of them barnacle fishers- as the stone crosses recall.
In Cape Roncudo, intrepid men capture the barnacle in the cliffs, escaping from the giant waves that climb up to the Roncudo's lighthouse. This valuable seafood is offered to the visitors in an important gastronomic party celebrated every summer in this Galician important harbour. The taverns of this typical seafaring village give rest and wine to old sea wolves like once was the Mourelle Admiral, explorer in the north Pacific for the Spanish Kingdom. The XVIII century's Mourelle birthplace is one of several Corme noble houses.
