Władysławowo is an important fishing harbour, located at the tip of Hel Peninsula. The town is near the northernmost point in Poland with the population about 12,700. Owing to favourable circumstances, i.e. communication facilities, a convenient beach, a seaside resort grew up here. Lately the locality was known as the Great Village. A name given to it mentioned first time as far back as 1284. Next, the port was called Władysławowo after Polish King Władysław IV (17th century), who spent substantial effort on creating a Navy, extended Puck harbour and had two naval fortresses built on the neighbouring peninsula. The modern harbour was constructed between 1936-1939 and was designed for Baltic fisheries.

The port is divided into three basins; outer, inner and the shipyard. Yachts may moor at the breakwater in the outer basin. The fishing harbour is located in the inner basin. The western corner is protected by two inner moles and marked by lights, exhibited from a column, at each head. Vessels lie alongside the northern inner mole.

Distance Leba - Wladyslawowo: 34 sm

Approach:

From the fairway buoy steer 260° towards stake standing on the east mole and the tower, 68 m high "house of Fischer" until you reach the head of the N mole. Only then steer starboard and approach the port entrance.

Note: Take a big swing around the N mole since sand banks build up there again and again.

Moorings:

Yachts may moor at the breakwater in the outer basin. This is only a very large fishery port. The port and the place do not offer anything. If possible one should avoid this port.

Facilities:

There are toilets and showers, no warm water, in the port building, which also hosts the border officials and the harbour office. These facilities are not offered officially. They are intended only for fischery personnel, who have their changing rooms here.

There is nothing interesting to report, all in all it is not recommended.
