Trzebiez lies in the southern part of the Stettiner Haffs. An artificial island protects the port in all weather against wind and swell. Trzebież is a fishing settlement in the community of Police, located in the W part of Szczecin Lagoon at the SW side of the entrance to Roztoka Odrzańska Estuary.
The first written information about Trzebież (known this time as Zegennort) comes from 1320. In the 18th century the port, with wooden warves and a small shipyard, was established. The population of Trzebież is about 2,500. The fishing harbour is connected with Szczecin by rail, road and waterway communication is maintained. The harbour is easy to reach both for the fishing boats and for the customers. The services includes cargo shipping.
There is a yacht harbour and recreation passenger ferry during summer and communication by ferry with Germany.
Approaching
Approaching from Stettin, steer in N direction.
Approaching from N, deviate at the Brama Torowa 3.Warning! The depth outside leading line decreases rapidly. Accumulation of silt is a hazard.
Approaching from Berlin over the Havel channel and Trzebiez, hoist mast and sails here, and begin sailing.
Moorings:
Moorings in the N part of basin, in the N part of the yachting port, the sport boat port. Moor at buoys with bow or stern to. The depth in this part of the harbor basin is over 3 m. The port is also the training centre of the Polish Sailing School.
Facilities:
Water, diesel, restaurant at the south end of the harbour basin. There are purchase possibilities about 300 to 500 m away from the yachting port, however only smaller shops. In the building of the sail school there are good toilets and showers. Keys from the harbour master, telephone.
