Farsund has a modern marina in the center of town, with access to all the necessary facilities. The marina has room for 60 visiting yachts and serve freshly baked bread and newspapers in the mornings. On many of the islands in the archipelago, barbeques, jetties and toilets have been arranged.
Farsund is a county with 2000 people. It is located some 100 km W Kristiansand, 70 km W Flekkefjord and 200 km W Stavanger.
The well known Lista-land is an eldorado for those who seek culture and nature. Ancient settlements, many bird sanctuaries and nature reserves. In the Vanse village is the old Vanse church from 1037. The village Borhaug was based on shipping, fishing and shipbuilding. The famous boatdesign Listerskøyta can here be seen in its proper environment. Lista Lighthouse is located at the end of the flat Lista-land and is a popular spot. The beaches of Lista are a windsurfers' paradise.

The marina lies in the centre of the town, with shops, bank, post office, cafés and restaurants within easy reach. It has 60 moorings with access to water, electric power, sanitary facilities, refuelling, hiring of boats and diving equipment.
Some of the islands nearby have their own quays, toilets and grilling facilities.The coast outside the town with hundreds of islands is a favourite summer holiday region. It combines beautiful scenery with plentiful amenties for all kinds of boating, and yet is near the town itself with restaurants and other facilities.
