Rabat

Rabat, a residential area since long before Roman times, has fascinating streets, holding interesting bars and bakeries, village shops and craft shops leading to charming squares, chapels with frescos and ancient catacombs. On the outskirts is the Museum of Roman Antiquities including the remains of a Roman town house. At Ta' Qali Crafts Village you can see glass blowers, potters, filigree jewellers, woodworkers and craftsmen at work. This is a one stop locality for choosing traditional souvenirs and holiday presents.
