The rooms and decor are sophisticated and cater to those of you who prefer the good life and are willing to pay for it. Some rooms have a jacuzzi bath. No in-room phone at the Vytauto hotel (common phone available), but you do get satellite television, guarded parking and room service. Both hotels offer upscale dining in their restaurants.

Besides a dependable security system, rooms have satellite television, telephone, kitchens and some have jacuzzi baths. A public pool and sauna is a short walk away. Guarded parking is available.
Pusu paunksneje	Darius ir Gireno 25 tel (370-6) 49080 fax (370-6) 49081	Opened by basketball great Arvydas Sabonis and his wife Ingrida, this lovely resort hotel surrounded by pine trees and across the street from the botanical park is the best of the deluxe and luxurious. Each cabin-cosy apartment has a fireplace, mini-kitchen, air conditioner, satellite TV, telephone and balcony. In addition to the regular-size swimming pool, sauna and gym, there are basketball and tennis courts, billiards and steam baths. Bicycle rentals also available. Fax, shuttle bus, excursions, laundry service and parking garage, ticket reservations. Highly recommended.

Rooms feature ultra-modern design in bright colours. The hotel is flanked by a huge open-air cafe and hides a disco in its basement. Attracts the rich and spoiled. Satellite television and telephone in each room. Sauna (Turkish or Finnish) costs 150Lt/hr.
Gamanta	Plytu 7 tel (370-6) 57007 fax (370-6) 51729	The rooms here are relatively new and in good condition. All rooms have satellite television and telephone. Each extra person in the room costs 50Lt. Car rental, airport or station transfers, tickets available. Business travellers can take advantage of their fax and message services. Restaurant and cocktail bar.
Palangos Vetra	Daukanto 35 tel (370-6) 53032 fax (370-6) 53736	Palanga's only full-service hotel was built by the shipping company Klasco in 1998. Rooms are well-appointed with hairdryers, double beds, satellite TV and telephones. Two wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. The suites are an excellent option for families and the apartments for business travellers who need to entertain. An extra bed in a room costs 50Lt. Those into weird architectural quirks will love the room with a glass-enclosed sitting room. The conference hall seats 80. Feliksas is their in-house cafe.
Rima	Birutes 36 tel (370-6) 53591 fax (370-6) 53700	A friendly little guest house near the beach and right off the main pedestrian street - Basanaviciaus. The wood-panelled rooms range from luxury suites to cosy share-the-WC rooms. Only the lux room has a television. None of the rooms have telephones. A common kitchen is available.
Rolando	Vytauto 97 tel/fax (370-6) 53411	A cosy hotel with real double beds and huge bathrooms. The hotel rooms benefit from the little antique touches like wooden poster beds, embroidered pillows and lacy curtains. All rooms have satellite television and a telephone.
Stumbras	Vytauto 93a tel (370-6) 52521 fax (370-6) 48053	Just a little over two years old, this guest house was built by the beer company Stumbras. Rooms are spacious with convenient mini-kitchens stocked with pots, pans and dishes. No breakfast, but their restaurant opens at 09:00. The conference hall seats 24. A good option for families since the sofas convert into beds. They're very proud of their elevator.
Tauras	Vytauto 116 tel/fax (370-6) 54437	A popular and classy joint with brightly coloured rooms. The unrenovated rooms are cheaper but not as cheery. All rooms have satellite television, telephone and bathtubs. Some have balconies. Their cafe is a homey pub with great outdoor seating.
Vilija	Birutes 24 tel/fax (370-6) 52219	The rooms, though cheery, have a dated look to them even though they've been renovated. First-floor rooms have a balcony door, but no balcony. Suite with kitchen available. Amenities include parking and sauna/plunge pool (100Lt/hr). Breakfast is not included.
Voveraite vardu Salvadoras	Mieles 24 tel (370-6) 52532 fax (370-6) 51814	Literally steps from the beach, this new hotel offers brightly-coloured and modern rooms. Suites are split-level with a living room below and bedroom upstairs. Most rooms have balconies and all rooms are reached via staircase. Satellite TV, telephone, air conditioning/heater and refrigerator in each room. All in all a very classy joint with a cozy feel.
Vila Ramybe	Vytauto 54 tel/fax (370-6) 54124	A calm oasis of cosy suites each with satellite television and a refrigerator but no telephone. Parking for your car and a sauna for you. Breakfast not included. Charming and lovely jazz cafe below the guest house. Keep in mind that prices are only estimates and may change at any time.

Rooms have satellite television and telephones. Billiards, cafe (open 10:00 - 24:00), hairdresser and parking available.
Baltija	Booking office: Ganyklu 30 tel (370-6) 52841/52352 fax 52352 three locations: Auska Vytauto 11 tel (370-6) 52410	Brezhnev used to bunk here. It's the nicest of the three Baltija hotels. (In other words, it's a healthy dinosaur.) All rooms are apartments with televisions but no telephones. Only 50m from the beach. The massive hotel grounds are home to a bar, a saltwater swimming pool, running paths, tennis courts and a sauna. Recommended. Guarded parking. No breakfast.
Zilvinas	Kestucio 26 tel (370-6) 53810	This place, in a quaint, residential area, gets the silver, if Auska gets the gold. Choose from a two or three-room suite. Great for families who need quiet, lots of space and to be a short walk away from food and fun. Rooms have refrigerators, televisions and phones. Tennis courts available. Prices are cheaper without breakfast and higher with three meals a day. We only list prices for two-bedroom suites, but a plethora of other possibilities exist. Ask for what suits your needs.

Juros Vilione	Vytauto 107b tel (370-6) 51695	From a single room with a common bathroom to a big suite, this hotel has the look and feel of Grandma's house. That is if Grandma loves the look of the '70s - orange, brown and kinda lacy. The top-floor rooms with wood panelling are the cutest. No breakfast, but the rooms have television
Linas	Vytauto 155 tel (370-6) 51137	Out in the barren desert near the Vanagupe, Perliukas and Rugelis hotels. The price is right even if it means that you will spend your vacation nights in a big concrete block just 800m from the beach. A public pool and sauna is just a few minutes' walk away. Parking is also available.
Kastytis	Mickeviciaus 8 tel 53507	Book a triple here and get a sitting room, a bedroom, a shower and toilet all linked together by a hallway. Prices are good for as many people as you can fit into the spacious suites and apartments. No working telephones and no breakfast, but each room has a television and refrigerator.
Meguva	Valanciaus 1 tel (370-6) 54339 tel/fax (370-6) 52819	It might not be the most attractive hotel in Palanga, but its right in the heart of town. Rooms are simple and drab, but have balconies. Suites have telephones.
Rugelis	Vanagupes 20 tel (370-6) 52709 fax (370-6) 52878	This big concrete building houses rooms that aren't much more attractive than its solid grey exterior. Lux means you get two rooms instead of one along with a television and refrigerator. A public pool and sauna is just across the street and the beach is only 200m away. No breakfast.
Silkas	Gintaro 25 tel (370-6) 57519/51863 fax (370-6) 52706	Although it's got an old concrete-block style to it, the sunny rooms are mysteriously quaint. The balconies are inviting, the showers tolerable and the service sweet. A great price considering the city centre location. All rooms have a television, refrigerator, telephone and showers. No breakfast.
Tulpe	Darius ir Gireno 11 tel (370-6) 51175	Built in 178, part of this hotel is undergoing slow-but-steady renovations. The rooms are nothing fantastic and leave much to be desired aesthetically, but they're functional and close to the beach. Billiards, cafe. No breakfast.
Vanagupe	Vanagupes 10 tel/fax (370-6) 54146	Don't be fooled by the new look of the exterior, inside the rooms sing the same old song. Although they're some of the nicest 'old-style' rooms in Palanga. The pine walls add a sweet scent to the rooms too. It's a bit better than the neighbouring Rugelis. There's a public pool and sauna just across the street and the hotel is 800m from the beach. Rooms have televisions and refrigerators. No breakfast.
Private Hostel	Neries 24 tel (370-6) 57076	While not an official hostel, this nice family takes in weary souls who need a bed, but they will interrogate you first - just smile and nod until it's over. Great location near the beach and Basanaviciaus. We hope it sticks around until you get to experience it, but it could vanish - so call ahead. Hosts speak Lithuanian, Polish and Russian.
