These make a pleasant trip and are well worth a visit in calm conditions and neap tides. The tidal streams are very strong at spring tides and any wind can cause bad overfalls near the headlands. Don't be put off, with the right weather and tide conditions, a good chart and pilot book, the north coast is magical and well worth a visit.

Historic Breakwater provides a sheltered deep water anchorage from winds from the SW to the North. It is full of local moorings so choose anchoring spot carefully. The bottom is muddy/sand. There is a landing slip at the base of the breakwater. The RNLI INSHORE LIFEBOAT STATION is next to the white Jersey “Conway” Round Tower 0.5M, S.W. of the breakwater.
