29 Shore Road |
Gurnard Sailing Club is located on the shores of Gurnard Bay, a mile or so west of Cowes. The club is solely run by its members with no paid staff, and consequently the membership fees are low and offer great value - although you will be expected to help! The location is superb with the prevailing south westerlies providing windward starts and reaching legs to the mainland shore. The racing area is set either within Gurnard Bay for the smaller dinghies or the exciting waters of the western Solent for fast reaching and Olympic courses. The tides are strong and provide challenging conditions which make first-class sailors. |

Cowes |
The Royal London Yacht Club was founded in London in 1836 and its first meeting place was the Coal Hole Tavern on the Strand. Now, as befits one of Europe's senior yacht clubs, the Royal London is located in the centre of Cowes waterfront where it has been since 1882. A majority of its current members live or work in the Capital. This long history, as a principal element of British yachting, is a matter of great pride to the members of the Club, although its desire to maintain past traditions is balanced by an active and progressive new membership. |

The Sea View Yacht Club is one of the premier sailing clubs on the Solent. We are on the north-east coast of the Isle of Wight, a small island off the coast of central southern England. The Sea View Yacht Club is a little unusual in that we own a fleet of keel boats that are available to charter. As a result we have, in addition to our members, many non-members who come to sail as part of a pre-organised group. |

Located at the picturesque western end of the Solent, the Royal Lymington Yacht Club began its life in 1922 as the Lymington River Sailing Club. It quickly gained strength and in 1924 found a home in a disused boathouse beside the River. This original structure remains, just, as the southern wing of today's expanded premises, commanding an outstanding view down the Lymington River, across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. |
