Flateyri is a small village with 300 inhabitants, located at the north side of Önundarfjörður. Önundarfjörður is extremely beautiful. The golden beach is pure and wonderful and ideal for beach trips in a good weather.
It is possible to rent a kayak and guidance in Flateyri to observe the beach and its bird life from another angle.
