Tammio (Stämö)

Tammio was settled as early as in the 16th century.

The marina of this beautiful fishing village is immediately behing the wavebreaker, next to the public pier. Buildings from the 19th century and a small archipelago museum in the village. In earlier times the villagers traded in S:t Petersburg, Tallinn and Memel.

In the summer the island can be reached by the ferry Vikla from Tervasaari in Fredrikshamn. Thre are not many facilities on the island, but it is worth while to get to know the beautiful village.
