Vorsø

Vorsø, near Vorsø Kalv in Horsens Fjord, is home to Denmark’s largest colony of cormorants. Vorsø is completely protected, and it is only possible to visit the island – on which you will find one of the few of the original kind of forests in Denmark – on certain days of the year.

The water surrounding the cormorant colony on Vorsø is very shallow and rocky. This means wading long distances to get in touch with the sea trout of this place. You also need light tackle not to get stuck in the bottom all the time. Good place for fly fishing. No access to Vorsø during cormorant breeding time.
