Pula

The Croatian port of Pula is no ordinary town. Its daily routine as a modern commercial, cultural and tourist centre belies another world - a world which harks back to the adventures of great sailors in the myths and legends of never ending voyages... Iason and Medea founded the town of Polai - the spring of life. With Augustus it become the divine town, "pleasure of the rich, happiness to the middle class". The area of Pula is magnificcent, with country stone houses, buildings of modern architecture, quiet hacklberry shade and the view to the culture of the mankind.In nowdays during the summer, Pula has twice as much inhabitants as it has usually. Along the 190 km of beautiful coast and very abounding natural harbours, in hotels, camps and private accommodation reside more than 50 thousand tourists. With Trieste and Rijeka, Pula forms a triangle of the attractive towns. Thereffore Pula cannot be avoided.
