Corvo town & airport

Corvo is the smallest island. Only about 6 x 4 km. Corvo is the westernmost point in " Europe ". You can go there on a small boat from Santa Cruz on Flores or by airplane. Here lives only about 367 people. By boat it takes about 90 minutes. By airplane only a few minutes. The boat trip will give you an opportunity to get a good view of the very beautiful and dramatic coastline of Flores. The boat takes you close to the coastline.

Corvo has not much to offer. There is only one very small town. But it's cozy with its narrow streets and charming buildings. One road leads to the top of the volcano, which is only visible in clear weather.        

If you go to Corvo by boat, be sure to return with the same boat. The weather/sea conditions may not allow the boat to return for several days. The capacity of the boat is only about 20 persons.
